Kommune er en del af Welcometo.dk projektet
Vesthimmerlands Kommune vil gerne øge indsatsen i forhold
til at integrere de udlændinge, der kommer til Vesthimmerland for at arbejde.
Det skal være med til at øge chancerne for, at de udenlandske medborgere på længere
sigt etablerer sig og bliver fastboende i Vesthimmerlands Kommune.
På lang sigt er det hensigten, at den forbedrede
integration skal være med til at skabe en ændring i
befolkningssammensætningen og mindske affolkningen i landområderne.
Fokusområder
Myndighedskontakt:
Vesthimmerlands Kommune har fokus på at forbedre
modtagelsen af udenlandsk arbejdskraft. Det skal blandt andet udmønte sig i,
at der bliver etableret en fast modtagelsesservice for udenlandsk
arbejdskraft, hvor de kan få hjælp og rådgivning. Derudover skal der afvikles
temaaftener for udenlandske medborgere, med fokus på blandt andet skat, køb
eller leje af bolig, børnepasning og andre relevante emner.
Arbejdspladskultur:
Det er vigtigt, at arbejdspladser med udenlandsk
arbejdskraft yder en indsats for at få integreret de udenlandske
medarbejdere. Det medfører, at de udenlandske medarbejdere skal have en
forståelse af kulturen på arbejdspladsen, samt de skrevne og uskrevne regler
på arbejdspladsen. Vesthimmerlands Kommune vil medvirke til, at
arbejdspladser med udenlandsk arbejdskraft yder en indsats for at integrere
de udenlandske medarbejdere på arbejdspladsen.
Familiens trivsel:
Vesthimmerlands Kommune har et ønske om at de udenlandske
medborgere, som kommer til Vesthimmerland for at arbejde, bliver boede. For
at sikre det, er det nød-vendigt at de udenlandske familier trives og bliver
etableret i lokalsamfundet. Vest-himmerlands Kommune vil sætte fokus på, at
familierne bliver etableret og får skabt sociale relationer i lokalsamfundet.
Sprog- og kulturtilegnelse:
Det er centralt, at de udenlandske medborgere får tilegnet
sig det danske sprog hur-tigst muligt efter ankomsten til landet, da sproget
er en central forudsætning for at kunne etablere sig i lokalsamfundet og begå
sig på arbejdsmarkedet. Vesthimmer-lands Kommune vil sætte fokus på, at de
udenlandske medborgere kommer på sprogkurser sammen med ligesindede og
oplever, at sprogkurserne har en relevans for dem.

is part of the Welsometo.dk project
The strategy
of the project is to help newcomers in the municipality to settle and
integrate in the community.
In the
long term, the intention is to create a change in the composition of the
population and decrease the depopulation of rural areas. Hopefully this will
help solve the demographic challenges Vesthimmerland is facing.
Focus
areas
The local
authorities wish to establish a standard introduction programme for all
newcomers. This will include information meetings and relevant material.
The intention
is to give the newcomers practical and general information, including insight
into the Danish labour market, Danish tax system and the prospects of living
in Vesthimmerland. This will also include presentation of cultural offers and
leisure activities.
In
addition, special contact persons will be appointed to ease contact and
access to the local authorities.
Concerning
workplace culture, the intention is to establish a co-operation with local
companies, and to develop reception guides describing written as well as
unwritten rules. This will include a description of how to become a part of
the social life on the workplace.
Concerning
family matters, Vesthimmerland will focus on integrating the family in the
community. Social relations are made by creating networks.
Vesthimmerland
will create a reception arrangement on one or more schools to secure proper
schooling for the children. This will also result in the children learning
the language faster in contact with native-speaking children.
Language
is a key element when a family wants to be established in the community,
therefore it is important that the newcomers acquire the Danish language as
soon as possible.
Consequently,
it is important that the language courses are clearly targeted to the participants,
and that the purpose of the course is clear.
